About Alexander Boyle:

A 1985 graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, CT, Alex worked in the art business in New York City, first with the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the American Paradise, World of the Hudson River School exhibition 1987 exhibition. Later he was a vice president at Godel & Co. Fine Art, a Madison Avenue gallery that specialized in 19th and 20th century American paintings. While at Godel & Co. he authored a half dozen catalogues on American Paintings in addition to numerous magazine articles for Connoisseurs Quarterly in 2000 and 2001 on the Hudson River School, American marine paintings, and on the museums that displayed that type of artistic subject. In 2002 Alex was extensively featured in the PBS documentary, “America’s First River, Bill Moyers on the Hudson,” in Part One, “Stories from the Hudson.” Alex has also contributed to museum catalogs on the artists George Hetzel and Eastman Johnson. Besides the current book project, forthcoming in Quest Magazine for 2010 will be a lengthy article on the Hudson River School artists, a truncated version of his book with a focus on the history of the Hudson River School School and how the modern locations compare to the images of the 19th century along with contemporary issues facing these locations.

Resolving an art theft and undoing that damage has long been one of Mr. Boyle's most savored pursuits. Besides the contacts in the gallery world, the museum world and the auction world, Mr. Boyle has developed other sources of great ability in law enforcement and elsewhere. One of the partnership’s leading advisors is a former United States Attorney of great repute, so we intend to chase down every lead to the fullest extent that United States law allows us to do. While the various city, state and federal statutes of limitations put specific time constraints on prosecution, know this once somebody has been informed by a Federal agent that they are in possession of a stolen work of art, it then becomes a federal crime to maintain possession of said work, and the way to maintain a claim on a stolen work is to show due diligence for that fateful day, if and/or when a lost work finally returns to light. That is where we can help those who have been victimized and we look forward to helping those people economically recover what was rightfully their own.
